Responsibilities
As a Business Development Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving the growth of our business by proactively identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. You will be responsible for developing a pipeline of prospective clients, building lasting relationships, and working closely with our team to expand the MCS client base. This role requires an ambitious self-starter with a strategic mindset and excellent communication skills, ready to take ownership of the full business development cycle.

 

Lead Generation & Prospecting:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, focusing on self-generated leads through networking, research, and outbound strategies.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified prospects across various sectors relevant to MCS services.
  • Develop targeted outreach strategies, including cold calling, email campaigns, and networking events, to generate interest and build connections.

 

Relationship Building:

  • Engage with potential clients to understand their needs and position MCS solutions effectively.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with key decision-makers, ensuring a positive client experience throughout the sales cycle.
  • Actively participate in industry events, conferences, and networking groups to represent MCS and identify new opportunities.

 

Sales & Negotiation:

  • Lead the full sales process, from initial contact to closing deals, ensuring a seamless transition to the account management team.
  • Present tailored solutions to prospective clients, highlighting the value and benefits of MCS services.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling proposals, presentations, and contracts to close new business.

 

Market Research & Strategy:

  • Conduct research on industry trends and market changes to identify potential areas for business growth.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective campaigns that support business development efforts.
  • Analyse sales metrics and performance to refine outreach strategies and improve conversion rates.

 

Daily Activities

  • Proactively reach out to prospects via phone, email, and LinkedIn to introduce MCS services.
  • Attend meetings and calls with prospective clients to assess their needs and present relevant solutions.
  • Track and update all sales activities in the CRM / HubSpot, ensuring accurate records of leads, opportunities, and deals.
  • Create regular reports on business development progress and results, providing insights to the management team.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align on client needs and ensure a smooth handover post-sale.
  • Stay informed on competitor activities and industry trends to adapt and improve sales strategies.

 

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a business development or sales role, preferably within the technology sector.
  • Proven track record of self-generating leads and consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong networking, communication, and negotiation skills, with a client-focused approach.
  • Ability to understand and present technical solutions to a non-technical audience.
  • Experience with CRM tools, such as HubSpot, to manage leads and track sales activities.
